The Disney Upfront was yesterday in New York. Upfront season is meant to build anticipation for the next year in television, when the networks and now streamers present to buyers and advertisers their upcoming slate. But Upfront season has also become a stop on the Emmys campaign circuit, since nomination round voting begins in under a month which is why talent from possible contending series that have already premiered also show up at the event(s).

That is the case for the cast of The Testaments, currently airing. The series has not officially been renewed for season two but since its Emmys submissions are in the Outstanding Drama Series category and not the Limited Series category, the intention is pretty clear that they’re pushing for more. And there’s been some word from those who are in the writers room that they’ve already been breaking story for another season.

The show has submitted in multiple categories with one member of the cast being considered for a leading acting nomination: Chase Infiniti, she leads the show, and she was there with her colleagues yesterday looking stupidly great, as usual. So great that Caitlin and I were cussing her for several minutes this morning while she was doing my hair for ETALK. “F-ck you” is what we kept saying over and over again at my laptop with this photo of Chase up on the screen.

Like, enough already! It’s just cruel now, to the rest of us regular degulars, to look like this and do what she does so well, enough already, f-ck you bitch!

Chase is wearing ALAĺA, a dress that would, in my opinion, be at least 50% less interesting on anybody else. And the second ALAĺA showcased in today’s site content after Hannah Einbinder, notable because Pieter Mulier who’s been responsible for reviving the brand over the last few years just presented his last collection for the house in March and is set to take over as creative director at Versace in a few weeks. They’ve not yet announced his successor but Olivier Rousteing has been one of the rumoured names for the position. Beyoncé in ALAĺA for act iii? Let me just stop myself from more nonsense and get back to Chase wearing the sh-t out of these black and mint green florals. Or, if you’ve seen or read The Testaments, “spring green”, which is what the girls transition to from the plum colour once they “bloom” and get their period and are ready to become breeding machines…

It’s f-cking gross, I know, but that’s how it works in f-ckass Gilead and how some f-ckass creeps want it to work in our real world.

But Chase wearing spring green – coincidence or, you know, theme dressing to subtly confirm that, indeed, season two is blooming?

Angela Bassett is perennially in bloom, and another person Caitlin and I were moaning over in disbelief because she is fire in a flowered suit (L’Agence) at the Disney Upfront, repping American Horror Story where she’s making her return. LOOK AT HER FACE!

Not sure if this is a coincidence too – the roses on Angela’s suit are very similar to the roses on co-star Emma Roberts’s Blumarine dress.
