The Red One press tour is happening now, in advance of the film’s November 15 release date. (I’m seeing it next week. hoo raaaaay) The cast turned up in London for a photocall yesterday, including Lucy Liu in a great red pantsuit—jumpsuit? Either way, she looks great. Kiernan Shipka also turned up for this event, which is how I learned Kiernan Shipka is in this movie, ditto for Bonnie Hunt, who I should have remembered is in the trailer, but I’ve been trying my best not to know about this movie. JK Simmons I do remember from the trailer, he’s playing inexplicably buff Santa Claus. And then there’s Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in a nice sweater, I guess.
But the real reason we’re all here is Chris Evans, and this lit professor look he’s been rocking lately. This is a VERY good look on Chris Evans, I hope he’s rocking this look for his upcoming film, Sacrifice. It’s filming now, so I assume he is. Sacrifice is a dark comedy from Romain Gavras, it’s co-written by Gavras and Succession writer Will Arbery. The film co-stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Sam Richardson, Ambika Mod, Salma Hayek, John Malkovich, Vincent Cassel, Jeremy O. Harris, and Charli XCX. That’s a pretty great cast. I’m already looking forward to a press tour with Sam Richardson and Jeremy O. Harris on it. But mostly I’m looking forward to Chris Evans continuing to look like a hot professor for as long as possible.
