Dua’s pre-wedding dress

Earlier, I pondered Dua Lipa’s wedding dress for her big celebrity wedding happening this weekend in Sicily. Well, here we have one of them. Dare I say, fun and sexy?

Callum Turner is certainly into it:

They’re young, they’re hot, they’re in love, it’s literally their Italian wedding, pinch butts all day. Sing a little butt song. Get real Tina Belcher about it.

This, apparently, is not THE dress, but a pre-wedding celebration dress. Amongst all these other things, Dua and Callum are also rich, so of course, it’s a multi-day wedding feast. This is a nice warm up, though. Promising for what we might see as THE dress. I especially like the matching bag. I feel like I wouldn’t want to be keeping track of a bag during my wedding, but I am also not a celebrity having a multi-day Italian wedding feast. Obviously, Dua has people who can take control of the bag if she needs them to, and I don’t mean bridesmaids. I mean, like, dressers, etc. People who tend things. You know, professionals.

Shout out to Callum Turner’s tan suit, too. Not every man looks good in a tan suit, it can wash a dude out, but he looks very handsome (and in love, aww). I do wish he’d chosen a more fun shoe, though. That suit, Italian summer wedding, it calls for a fun shoe. But you know what his choice of plain loafer in the Italian summer sun tells me? Dua is not telling that man how to dress. She is not babysitting her husband. She trusts him to show up, appropriately dressed, and if that includes a boring shoe, oh well. He completed the assignment without her help. Love that for her. Nobody needs to be raising their husband.

Charli xcx was also seen at the pre-wedding festivities with her own husband, George Daniel. Wonder if they’ll duet at the reception? This would be the best part of a popstar wedding for me, seeing who sings at the reception. Well, that and the dresses. Can’t wait to see Dua’s actual dress this weekend!

It’s a thing that happens all the time, women reflect on their boyfriends dumping them when they were diagnosed with cancer. Ugh. (Popsugar)

Love Story is really going for the Emmys. Constance Zimmer seems like a shoe-in for supporting actress, but the rest? Uhhh…maybe Sarah Pidgeon if it’s a thin field for dramatic actress. But that show, while not the most egregious work Ryan Muprhy has ever put his name to, is hardly a top-ten drama for the year. (Go Fug Yourself)

I guess today’s theme is “Dua and Callum’s big sexy Italian wedding” but also “men leaving their partners over health reasons”. Sharon Stone has been talking about how her marriage to Phil Bronstein ended when she considered having a bilateral mastectomy after tumors were found in her breasts. They were benign, she did not end up having the surgery, but her husband’s reaction to even the possibility that she might choose to have a mastectomy killed their marriage. Double ugh. The New York Knickerbockers are in the NBA finals and famed New Yorker and Sesame Street resident Elmo said he hopes “everyone” has fun, so of course, Twitter piled on. Look, Twitter is a compromised site that is directly contributing to the downfall of democracy in America and abroad, but sometimes it’s still funny, especially when people engage with Elmo. It’s Friday, let’s enjoy a little social media madness before the weekend. Anyway, as a Bulls fan, I hope both teams find a way to lose. (Buzzfeed)
