Fashion houses want as much exposure as possible for their presentations – and the coolest celebrities in their front row. For Saint Laurent, the star power at their men’s show this week came from one of the biggest breakouts of the last year, Wednesday Addams herself.
Wednesday was one of the most successful Netflix releases of 2022. Jenna Ortega has become the definitive Wednesday of Gen Z, the social media generation. She’s also emerging as a fashion force and this Saint Laurent fit is the latest addition on her rapidly growing list of amazing looks. I love the drama of the wrap around her head. I love the cuffs on each wrist. She’s a sorceress. She’s a dark mystery, full of her own secrets and tempting you to share yours. That’s the energy she’s giving, and it speaks to her willingness to have fun with fashion, to show up and tell a story with her clothes. Which is exciting! Like we saw with Taylor Russell through the back half of 2022, we need more fashion stars!
Jenna’s not on her own on this trip. Her Wednesday co-stars, Percy Hynes White (Xavier) and Georgie Farmer (Ajax) are also in Paris with her and the three of them were seeing doing some sightseeing together. Jenna, once again, is wearing her headphones. I wonder if this is her paparazzi coping method. And the fact that she’s with Percy adds to the ongoing speculation that they’re dating. Is it possible that they’ve just become really good friends? Or is it inevitable that this is another Zendaya and Tom Holland situation?
