I LOVE hot dogs so I love this piece about hot dog season by Olivia Craighead. That said, the hot dog they use in the photo is not my ideal hot dog. The wiener should not be shorter than the bun. The tips of the wiener should stick out just a little from the bun. Also the wiener should never be grilled, this is disgusting. I like a boiled wiener, don’t @ me, if you disagree, you are wrong, I said what I said and it stands. (The Cut)

 

Hi, me again, talking about the scary potential consequences of Google’s AI search results which Dustin Rowles at Pajiba wrote about last week and here’s Jen Maravegias with a post about how those AI search results might actually be dangerous. Because the fact-checking will be super sus. So there have already been examples cited of how some search results suggest mixing chemicals that should not be mixed, or adding chemicals to food that should not be added. In addition to the misinformation, disinformation, and general nonsense of it all, there’s also the plagiarism issue because AI will be lifting content from other sites, from people who did the research and have put forward original ideas but may not be properly credited. I know this is a bummer but we alllll use the internet and we should all understand the consequences of what is happening. (Pajiba)

 

Cardi B is disagreeing with Candace Owen, no surprise. Cardi B is also defending porn, also no surprise. Is porn harmful? Yes, of course, it can certainly be very harmful. Is ALL porn harmful? The answer is no. And Cardi’s justification for the actual benefits of porn is reasonable. There is a lot of feminist porn out there which is not harmful and can be both pleasurable and productive. The purpose of ethical porn is sexual health and good sexual health is good health, period! (Hollywood Unlocked)

Lady Gaga stepped out the other night to promote her Chromatica concert film and it wouldn’t be Gaga if the outfit wasn’t a stunt. She is supposedly wearing a car part here. I don’t know much about cars so I’m not sure which part of the car this is. To me it looks like an alien skull. (Go Fug Yourself)

 

This debate comes up every few years: top sheet or nah? The only times I ever sleep in a bed with a top sheet are when I’m at a hotel. And I could do without it. At home there has never been a top sheet. I don’t even really understand what it’s for. Something about not touching the comforter? But, like, there’s a cover for the comforter…isn’t there? Or duvet, or whatever? At this point isn’t a top sheet pretty much ornamental? (Celebitchy)
