Throuple Halloween costume idea: Kelly Clarkson, the $15,000 animatronic bird and Paul Rudd looking through the Art of Play window. You’re welcome.

Valentina Pinault (daughter of Salma Hayek and Francois Pinault) covers Tatler, alongside rugby player Henry Pollock. The headline is “It-Girl Student” and fashion royalty (the It Girl label is really a catch-all for celebrity children, just yesterday it was Annette Bening and Warren Beatty’s daughter). Obviously this is the epitome of nepo baby-ism but this fits for Tatler, which has always covered wealthy and connected people. Valentina is slowly making her way into a more public life, including her mom’s YouTube videos, so will it be acting or modelling? Why not both!  Her dad founded Kering, which owns Gucci, St. Laurent, Balenciaga, Bottega…you get the picture.

Martin Scorsese appeared on the cover of Charli xcx’s Music, Fashion, Film album and she has a cameo in his upcoming movie, What Happens at Night. It seems to have wrapped months ago, I don’t know why this story is coming out now when it’s not close to the release date. Odd timing.

Today Lainey wrote about the Ralph Lauren fair isle sweater from Nobody Wants This. and as has been noted, Ralph Lauren is having a moment. It’s a real lesson in consistency and sticking to your founder’s vision, rather than chasing trends. Ralph Lauren vintage pieces are so sought-after that it held its first Polo Fest in Japan, with a marketplace and meetup for collectors.

After rumours of financial f-ckery, TikTokker Charli D’Amelio has separated herself from her parents management and moved to New York. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she says, “I wouldn’t say they stole my money,” and added, “I think we did a lot of things as a family.” Charli is 22 now; she was 15 when she rose to fame, taking her whole family with her (including a reality show). She has 160 million followers. Her story is interesting in that she talks about the actual machinations of leaving high school to work, of having a life coach instead of a therapist and of being a “face” of mental health struggles but not getting any treatment for her issues until she was old enough to do it herself. We’ve seen this story before with child actors, many times over, and Charli is one of the first-wave social media stars to reckon with viral fame publicly.
