Today in Hadn’t This Happened Already news, Christina Ricci received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday. Seems like she would have gotten one back in her Nineties teen icon days, but apparently not. Ricci has had something of a renaissance recently, with the returning popularity of Wednesday Addams and her role in the Netflix series Wednesday, and more significantly with Yellowjackets, in which she is currently starring in the third season.

Ricci was joined at her Walk of Fame ceremony by her Yellowjackets co-stars Liv Hewson, Tawny Cypress, Melanie Lynskey, Nia Sondaya, Ashley Sutton, and Sophie Thatcher. Interesting that Sophie Thatcher and Melanie Lynskey both had Animal Print Ideas for their fits. And speaking of Melanie Lynskey and great fits, did you see in her red at the Vanity Fair Oscars party?

The dress is Christian Siriano, for the garment curious.

Lynskey looking so foxy got the internet all riled up and ready to challenge her husband, Jason Ritter:

Comment about Jason Ritter

And Jason was ready to defend himself:

Jason Ritter's response

Jason Ritter is a wife guy, noted.

Anyway, Christina Ricci was also joined at her ceremony by her family, including her mother Sarah, and her friends and former collaborators Patty Jenkins and Dan Bucatinsky and Don Roos. Bucatinsky talked about stealing a pair of boots from then-teenaged Ricci when she stayed with him and Roos after making The Opposite Sex

It’s always interesting to see who comes out to these Walk of Fame ceremonies, especially for someone who has been working as long as Christina Ricci. You expect to see her current co-stars, especially since Showtime probably had something to do with arranging the star ceremony for her, but it’s sort of heartwarming Christina Ricci, the Nineties favorite Goth Girl, came out on the other side of child stardom with some long-term friendships intact. We know that’s not always the case, well enough to appreciate it when it is. Let’s take this warm energy into the weekend, shall we?
