Dear Gossips,

The celebrity wedding trend of the year is the surprise. Both Ariana Grande and Issa Rae were able to keep their weddings secret. And both of them wore Vera Wang wedding dresses. Gwen Stefani, whose wedding wasn’t as much of a surprise, also wore Vera Wang.

Lily Collins and Charlie McDowell are now on the surprise celebrity wedding list, as they announced yesterday that they were married on September 4 in Colorado. When I saw the headline, my first question was… did Vera Wang go four-for-four?

Not Vera Wang, but Ralph Lauren. And exquisite.

This is a Little Red Riding Hood wedding dress, I love it so much. I love the long sleeves, the high collar, and of course I am obsessed with the hooded cape. This has always been one of my favourite looks – a hood that sits back from the forehead and falls, kinda like hair, to frame the face. It’s SO pretty.

And reminds me, a little, of one of my all-time favourite Met Gala looks: Anne Hathaway, 2015…mostly because of the hood.

Anne Hathaway attends the "China: Through The Looking Glass" Costume Institute Benefit Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 4, 2015 in New York City

Back to Lily and Charlie though, and this glorious dress – I mean the shot of them by the waterfall is nothing short of spectacular:

Please, if you’re engaged, and you’re looking for wedding dress inspiration, consider this one. If I could have another wedding, I’d rip this off in a second.

Yours in gossip,

Lainey
