Before we get into Jennifer Coolidge – can we talk about Alexis Stone? In case you missed it, this is Alexis Stone at the Diesel show the other day looking like Jennifer Coolidge. From this angle… Alexis really does look like Jennifer, non?!

Unfortunately not so much when Alexis was sat beside Haley Lu Richardson aka Portia …but it was still a pretty epic moment:

Anna Dello Russo, Haley Lu Richardson, Alexis Stone and Orville Peck are seen at the Diesel Fashion Show during Milan Fashion Week Womenswear Fall/Winter 2023/24 on February 22, 2023 in Milan, Ital

Alexis documented the process on Instagram and it’s an incredible amount of work, especially since he did it himself.

As for Jennifer, she was at the We Have a Ghost premiere, wearing what in my opinion is the best dress she’s ever worn. This green sparkly gown is SO GOOD on her. Am also into the styling choice to wear the sheer gloves.

We’ll see Jennifer again on Sunday at the SAG Awards. She is the reigning Emmy and Golden Globe winner for her performance in The White Lotus and certainly one of the favourites at the SAGs but unlike the Emmys and the Globes, where she contended in the Supporting Actress category, Jennifer is nominated in the Lead category at the SAGs.

The other nominees are Elizabeth Debicki, Julia Garner, Laura Linney, and Zendaya. Zendaya is the current Emmy lead actress winner and the current Golden Globe lead actress winner. Like Jennifer Coolidge, Zendaya has yet to win at SAG. And many believe that it’ll come down to the two of them in this category. On the one hand, Jennifer is riding a lot of momentum right now and she’s been in the business for a minute, she knows or has worked with a LOT of people with a SAG card. However, to be fair, her role in The White Lotus, while certainly critical and the most identifiable, is not as substantial as Zendaya’s in Euphoria; it’s undeniable that Zendaya has more to do on her show, especially episode five (“Stand Still Like a Hummingbird”, aka the intervention episode), which has now, in some circles, including acting circles, taken on a life of its own.

Then, of course, there’s a cultural factor – both Jennifer and Zendaya are cultural icons in their own right. It’s a marquee matchup across the board.
