The Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy press tour is in full swing, and while I have zero interest in this film—I like Bridget Jones, but have enjoyed the sequels progressively less—I had to talk about these photos from the London premiere because Renee Zellweger is wearing a great dress.
It’s hot pink vintage Balmain—FYI, 2000 now counts as “vintage”—and it reminds me of Renee’s 2004 Carolina Herrera Oscar dress, lowkey one of my favorite Oscar dresses of all time.

Great color, great fit, great dress, terrible shoes, but let’s focus on the good and not the bad. Renee looks amazing, she looks like she knows that dress is A+.
Also at the premiere are hashtag Bridget’s boys, Chiwetel Ejiofor (v. handsome), Leo Woodall (v. handsome), and Hugh Grant (v. handsome and roguish). Isla Fisher was also there, which is how I learned Isla Fisher is in this movie, too, and author Helen Fielding. No judgment on people looking forward to this film, I was just satisfied with the ending of Bridget Jones’s Diary and don’t feel the need to keep revisiting that character. In a weird twist, though, I will watch every “what happened to Lizzie and Mr. Darcy next” movie and/or BBC series that ever gets made (shoutout to Matthew Rhys for being a great Darcy in Death Comes to Pemberley!). Still, I’m glad Renee Zellweger is on this press tour, if only so we get this magnificent Balmain moment. I really do love a hot pink dress!
Also attached, couples we care about! Ant Anstead joined Renee at the after party, and Leo was seen with Meghann Fahy.
