In a promo interview for The Four Seasons, Tina Fey told a story about getting a little tipsy at an awards show and trying to wingman for her friend. She realized later that the famous actor she was trying invite to hang with them probably thought Tina was hitting on him.
She reveals who the actor is when you watch the clip. Tina Fey, you are a good friend.
I will never miss a chance to post an FNL reunion. I don’t make the rules (yes, I do, and that is my rule).
If you are deep into Summer House, Stephanie has it allllll covered. The reunion has actually delivered (and deserves every minute of three parts). Casey Wilson is an actress (she was great in Gone Girl) and podcaster who has become really entrenched in the Bravo ecosystem and obviously this is hyperbolic but I do think, behind the scenes, the production staff might have had some concerns about behaviour at the reunion. There’s a limpness that’s hard to ignore.
This isn’t exactly a celebrity post but Instagram is launching a paid subscription service. Excuse me? Most of us barely want it when it’s free! This is like people paying to use Twitter. Why would I pay to see a bunch of AI content when I can peruse a Hudson Williams album for free.
Is a Anna Farris resurgence upon us? When she was on the sitcom Mom, she was active on Instagram and also had a podcast but after she left that series (which probably was A Thing) and she pulled back from public life. She seems surprised at the love for Scary Movie but I’m not. She has great comedic timing, she can do madcap physical comedy and also be very dry.
Did everyone know that Colin Farrell and Kirby Howell Baptiste (who I adore) are in an Apple TV show called Sugar? If so, rude not to share it with me. Yesterday I mentioned Angelina Jolie, and if we go into the wayback gossip machine, Angelina and Colin had a moment on the Alexander set. At the time, Angelina alluded to an attraction but said they were "maybe too similar.” Over 20 years later, they do seem similar but in a good way: mostly out of the spotlight, taking on interesting passion projects over blockbusters, parenting, not working the scene in LA. Think of the possibilities.
