Taylor Swift keeps going out

Today is May 13 and if you believe Us Weekly, that means we’re exactly a month away from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, which the magazine claimed with its whole chest would happen in Rhode Island on June 13. Page Six claims it’s the Fourth of July weekend. Nobody knows anything but Taylor has, over the last week, been outside a lot – visible and seemingly unbothered about being so visible while everyone else is counting down to her big day.

Last week she and Travis were in London, seen several times hanging out with friends, catching a show, popping in on a birthday party. Travis just talked about the trip on the most recent episode of the New Heights podcast where Jason was teasing him about Taylor expanding his food range. Can’t say this is all that surprising, that Travis had a limited palate at one point. Also not surprising that he can’t handle much heat. He says that when they went for Indian food the table consensus was to go on the mild side but, like, I think we’ve all been there – when the table consensus is a consideration for the person who is the most fragile with the spice. That’s how it works in my relationship, since my husband can only walk on the mild side while I prefer a full sprint with the maximum level of peppers. It’s been almost ten years since Travis was on Hot Ones – I actually watched this a few weeks ago for the first time when my algorithm served it to me after BTS’s epic appearance. It was a reminder of what Travis looked like pre-Taylor, not a visual I have burned into my memory. Definitely see the Channing Tatum resemblance from back then.

Taylor is now back in New York, out the other night for a family dinner in a silver embellished black dress over a pair of jeweled heeled mules that gave me nuclear rage, the entire outfit, I hated it so much. Speaking of palates, that might be why, seeing her in this much less offensive white knit and pleated tennis dress – it’s Retrofête (this is an affiliate link) and still available in most sizes – is a nice palate cleanser.

Taylor was at another birthday party, and another 40^th birthday party, for Lena Dunham. So Taylor and Lena are still tight, and this brings me back to Maria’s point from a few weeks ago about the wedding guest list, and how far apart Lena and Jack Antonoff might have to be seated. As for Taylor being in wedding white, which is the headline all over the place today, it’s not uncommon for brides to wear out the white in the months leading up to the wedding and for months after the wedding, to max out on the experience. Taylor Swift is definitely that girl.

How close is she though, really? June 13, July 3 or 4… my vote is still what it has been for the last few months: make fools out of all of them, so that no one knows how she’s moving. Do it on a random Tuesday when no one is paying attention. Aren’t Tuesdays a thing in her lore?
