Taylor Swift: Campaigns and Symbols
Something might be happening to do with Taylor Swift – which is basically every day for her fans who are constantly chasing clues. But it’s been popping up on social media since at least this morning which is when I saw it…
A green symbol, seemingly her initials, showing up at various random locations. But also the Empire State Building.

Swifties are now coming up with all kinds of theories – is she teasing the 20th anniversary of her debut album on October 24? Is it Reputation coded? Is it maybe not Taylor Swift at all?
I’m not spending my energy on the speculation, I’m more interested in how Taylor Swift is double-campaigning. The Eras Tour final show has been nominated for five Emmys. And word is she attended a For Your Consideration Emmys event this week. There are no photos, it was a closed event, for Emmy voters, but this totally tracks with how Taylor has campaigned in the past, particularly for Grammys.
🚨| Taylor Swift reportedly hosted a special FYC event for Emmy voters this afternoon, where around 50 attendees had their phones taken away upon arrival.

And speaking of Grammys, while voting on nominations hasn’t started yet, she was also at the Grammy Museum this week in conversation with Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr to discuss her career and songwriting – in support of course of The Life of A Showgirl which is Grammy eligible this cycle and for which she is expected to push for multiple nominations.
This is a classic Taylor move where Grammys are concerned – she will make time to get in front of the Recording Academy membership to strengthen her chances. And, as we have seen, she’s been very successful, arguably the most successful considering how many Album of the Year Grammys she has.
It’ll be interesting, then, to see what happens if and when Oscar campaigning starts because TS is coming for the Best Original Song Oscar with “I Knew It, I Knew You” from the Toy Story 5 soundtrack. There’s too much symmetry here for her not give it everything – from her personal connection to the movie(s) and also the initials… T and S… in her mind, I would imagine it’s kinda perfect.
