Selena Gomez has been very active on Instagram with both personal posts and work – she has a new single coming out.
How did she get these empty street shots? Is it photoshop? She’s swarmed whenever she leaves her hotel so I don’t know how they got the photos of her sitting outside at the cafe. Not only is there no one outside but there’s no one inside.
I don’t say this often (or maybe ever) about TikTok but this video is delightful. This isn’t a group chat skit, it’s the kind of thing you send only to the special friend who gets it.

@elle.cordova Arial can’t catch a line break. Thanks to my friends at Monotype for partnering with me on this video, making it a font trilogy! All of the typefaces represented in this sketch are available on the Monotype Fonts subscription platform, along with over 150,000 other fonts, making it one of the largest font libraries out there. We often talk about crossovers in the ecosystem, like when movie stars namecheck Housewives. At the People’s Choice Awards, we get to actually see that kind of crossover in action. Jennifer Aniston in the same room as the Selling Sunset cast, America Ferrera giving an Oscar speech to Bachelor stars. And that’s why I’m convinced the PCAs are the most awkward, disjointed ceremony. It’s weird. These people do not belong together.
Billie Eilish is asking the same question as me, except she was caught by the award show lip readers telling Kylie Minogue there’s a bunch of TikTokers in the vicinity. I have no idea why this guy took such offense, it was just an observation. He had to hop on to “address” like we were waiting on his official statement.

TikTokers don’t make a lot of sense at an awards show but they will have a place at another grand event that is inarguably more prestigious than the PCAs. TikTok’s CEO is co-hosting the MET Gala and while Anna Wintour is legacy media, she is surprisingly open to having YouTube stars like Emma Chamberlain on the red carpet. (Derek Blasberg used to lead the fashion arm at YouTube and I think he finessed that relationship.) With TikTok having a huge role this year (and I’m guessing a huge donation to the museum), they will want their top creators there. Khaby Lame is the most followed person on TikTok and has made content with celebrities so he should definitely get a ticket.
@khaby.lame Thank you for your time @Tom Cruise

This is going to be convoluted but the gossips will follow: when I saw that Shane Gillis is hosting SNL I thought, “HMMMM that’s a strong booking choice” and then I remembered Lindsay Shookus because she used to be the talent booker for SNL. Lindsay and Ben Affleck had a pretty bold affair – Jennifer Garner allegedly told Lindsay to back the f up and Lindsay said “nah.” She was also married to someone who works behind-the-scenes and he and Jennifer had a discussion backstage at Late Night with Seth Meyers. (It was not some low-tier magazine reporting that, it came straight from PEOPLE.)
Anyway, it went on for a few years and then Ben and Jen split and Lindsay and Ben went public, messy AF. Even for Ben, it was messy. Jennifer Garner has not been on SNL since 2013 (a cameo) and I think she’d be a great host because she’s very playful. JLo was on SNL recently and there’s no chance of a run-in because Lindsay left the job in 2020. Ben, the messy boots that he is, has continued on per usual. All this is to say I would very much like to see Jennifer host SNL – maybe for Animals, the new movie she is in talks to star in alongside Matt Damon. Oh, the director of that film? Mr. Ben Affleck. It would be a real full circle moment for all of us.
