As predicted earlier this week, Timothée Chalamet was not at the Met Gala, not only because he’s not a regular there but because between the Met Gala and the Knicks playoff game, there was no doubt where he’d prefer to be. He was courtside for the Knicks game one victory over the 76ers in the Eastern Conference semi-finals at Madison Square Garden and he was courtside once again last night for game two to watch the Knicks go up two games to none.

Through this post-season, it’s interesting to see what he’s become, or is becoming, to the team. Perhaps more than just a celebrity fan? Is Timmy to the Knicks what Drake is to the Raptors? Clearly he has a seat whenever he wants one. And they’re letting him practise on the actual court which of course he flexed about on Instagram.

And they’ve been using a lot of Timmy’s film footage on the scoreboard during the game. Last night they turned Dune into Braveheart for the Knicks.

So whatever backlash there was against Timmy during award season has subsided in certain corners, at least, now that his Marty Supreme era has passed. Until the series moves to Philly tomorrow and that’s a community that probably still hates his ass, LOL, but I wonder if that’s based more on sports loyalty than celebrity gossip – although if 76ers fans (who have a reputation) want to troll, they have a lot of content to work with.

Kylie Jenner was with Timothée last night, they weren’t exactly subtle.

But basketball isn’t the only sport Timmy’s involved with right now. He’s part of a new Adidas ad, alongside some mega names in football, plus one of the most mega names in music. How much money did they spend on this project? It’s Timmy and Bad Bunny and Lionel Messi and wait, is that… AI Zidane and AI Beckham too? This commercial is stacked and Timmy’s all over it.

That was the teaser that was posted yesterday. He comes by this honestly though, it’s not just that he’s attaching himself to football because of the World Cup. On the French side, Timmy supports Saint-Étienne because of his dad. In the EPL it’s Chelsea. The point here though is that … well… sorry, but Adidas presented him an opportunity as an actor and a sports fan and… sorry again… it’s a great film.
